Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria are expanding outreach in Vienna, engaging young people, parents and teachers via public information points and event-based activities. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, a local organiser, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide straightforward information on drug risks, including the ongoing debate around cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. A short report is available via a published overview.

Organisers say, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the European institutions and the United Nations, noted: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified eu news china information early, in plain language—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
